Subnational Climate Action

Summary:
This report presents findings from a public awareness survey on low-carbon cities conducted in 20 Chinese cities ranked by the LOGIC index. The survey of 2,000 respondents reveals that while 83% of the public know about low-carbon concepts, understanding of specific meanings remains limited. Key findings include 77% satisfaction with their city's low-carbon performance, 96% support for government low-carbon policies, and varying participation levels in low-carbon behaviors. The report identifies that citizens are more willing to adopt low-cost behavioral changes while participation in higher-cost actions remains lower, providing policy recommendations for enhancing public engagement in urban decarbonization efforts.
