The GDTP 2023 Annual Conference, themed \u201cLocal Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality: Deepening and Breakthroughs,\u201d was successfully held in Guangzhou from March 24 to 25, 2023.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The conference featured online opening remarks delivered by Li Gao, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Hong\u00a0Jianwu, Director of the Climate and Exchange Division of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province. The conference also brought together more than 40 experts, including Zhou Dadi, Member of the National Expert Committee on Climate Change; Zhang Xiliang, Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Economy at Tsinghua University; Zou Ji, Chief Executive Officer and\u00a0President of the Energy Foundation China; and Ma Aimin, Deputy Director of the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation, who delivered speeches and participated in discussions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Guests from Beijing, Guangdong, Chongqing, Hainan, Jiangxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Shanghai,\u00a0<\/span>Tianjin<\/span>\u00a0and Zhejiang shared their experiences based on local practices. More than 100 experts and scholars from these regions, as well as Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi and other areas, attended the conference.\u00a0<\/span>Participants gathered to explore new pathways for advancing local carbon peaking and\u00a0<\/span>carbon neutrality efforts<\/span>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>
